Before you begin
It's important that you deactivate your devices in the CrashPlan console before uninstalling the CrashPlan app. Here's how to deactivate a device:
- Go to console.us2.crashplan.com.
- Enter your Drexel email address, it looks like abc123@drexel.edu, and then select Sign In.
- You'll be redirected to Drexel Connect. Sign in with your Drexel account and verify your sign-in with multifactor authentication.
- Select Administration > Devices.
- Select the device you want to deactivate, to view the Device Details page.
- Select the Action menu icon , and then select Deactivate.
- You'll see a message warning you that the archive for this device will be deleted. Select I understand this device’s archive will be deleted, and then select OK.
Uninstall the CrashPlan app
Uninstall the CrashPlan app on a PC
- Select Start and type Control Panel.
- Select Control Panel from the list of results.
- Select Programs > Programs and Features.
- Select CrashPlan from the list, and then select Uninstall.
- Follow the prompts to complete the uninstall.
Uninstall the CrashPlan app on a Mac
- Open Finder and press ⌘+Shift+G.
- In the window that opens, type /Library/Application Support/CrashPlan/, and then press Enter.
- Double-click Uninstall.app.
- Follow the prompts to complete the uninstall.
