What is Passwordless Authentication?
Passwordless authentication uses number matching in the Microsoft Authenticator App to allow users to log into Microsoft 365 services without entering a password. (Note: DrexelConnect and Drexel VPN will continue to use a password at this time.)
When going through the Microsoft 365 authentication process, you will be presented with a number that must be entered in the Authenticator app to complete the authentication.
Number matching helps ensure that the person requesting access to an account is the same person approving the sign-in on a device.
