Self Service for macOS

OVERVIEW OF SERVICE

A self-service tool for Drexel-owned Macs providing users with an easy way to get and install pre-configured, Drexel-licensed software. All Drexel-owned Macs must have this application installed.

Drexel supports the latest version of the following Mac operating systems:

  • macOS Sequoia (15)
  • macOS Sonoma (14)
  • macOS Ventura (13)

DESCRIPTION & FEATURES

  • Allows faculty & professional staff to install Drexel Software and configure printers at their convenience
  • Delivers software and security updates to Drexel-owned macOS devices
  • Supports Drexel's Data Security Initiative because it allows the University to quickly repair encryption problems and ensure that sensitive information stays protected.
  • Allows approved Operating System upgrades without IT assistance
  • Remote resolution of many technical issues

GETTING STARTED

Faculty & professional staff may set up Self Service for by scheduling an in-person office visit during normal business hours. Once you have reviewed the enrollment instructions, you can self-enroll your Drexel-owned macOS device here: Enroll Now.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Once installed, Self Service keeps itself up to date.  Macs without Self Service for macOS may be denied some IT services if not properly enrolled.

All Drexel-owned Macs should have the Self Service for macOS pre-installed.
