On April 15, 2026, Microsoft removed the Copilot Chat button/experience from Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel for users without a full Microsoft 365 Copilot license.
Copilot Chat is still available as a standalone web app (https://m365.cloud.microsoft) and in Outlook.
Employees who want or need to use the integrated Copilot functionality in Word, Excel and PowerPoint may purchase a Copilot (Premium) license by submitting an Add-on License Service Request here: https://servicedesk.drexel.edu/TDClient/277/Portal/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=10744
